Margaret “Peggy” Puzo

Puzo, Margaret C. “Peggy” of Hingham, passed away March 9, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Henry J. Puzo. Loving mother of Michael J. Puzo and his wife, Christine, of Hingham and the late Glenn R. Puzo. Mother-in-law of Lorraine Puzo of Middletown, New Jersey. Devoted “Grandma” to Glenn R. Puzo Jr. of Bedford, NJ, John R. Puzo of Wall, NJ, Mary Elizabeth Bailey of Hingham, Kathleen B. Puzo of Quincy, Eileen M. Puzo of Hingham, and James H. Puzo of Washington, DC. Great grandmother of Briana, Nicole, Michael, Kyle, Glenn Patrick, Kelly, Ronan, Nora and Clara. Sister of William J. Murphy of North Merrick, NY and the late Helen Lorenz. Sister in law of Caroline Miller of NYC. Peggy is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs.. Puzo was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was outgoing and, while she made Hingham her home in 1986, she never forgot her roots in the Bronx. The child of Irish immigrants, Peggy left an indelible and unique mark on those whose lives she touched. Blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, Peggy was an avid reader, a persistent crossword puzzler and a meticulous seamstress and knitter. Her Catholic faith was integral to Peggy’s being, as was her belief in education and the depth and breadth of human potential. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-6PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM in , St. Paul Church, 147 North Street, Hingham. Interment will be private. In tribute to the value that Mrs. Puzo placed on education, gifts in her memory may be made to Boston College, 140 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, Att: Development Office and designated for student financial aid.
