Margaret “Peggy” O’Neil (Morgan) of Quincy died unexpectedly on May 14, 2011, at the age of 75. Beloved wife for 57 years of John J. O’Neil, Margaret will be sorely and lovingly missed by him and her children: John “Jay” O’Neil Jr. of Quincy, Caron M. O’Neil of Weymouth, Deborah A. O’Neil and the late John Rice of Florida, Darren J. O’Neil and his wife Debra of Hanover, Tracy A. Campbell and her husband Paul of Weymouth, Peggy O’Neil-Simone and her husband Richard of Quincy, Lianne C. McGarry and her husband Kevin of Weymouth, and Theresa “Terry” O’Leary of Quincy. She has thirteen grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Margaret is also survived by her brother, Charles Morgan and his wife Geraldine of Florida and Carver, as well as her Cousin Dorothea [Dottie] Childs of Weymouth. She was the sister of the late Walter Morgan, Geraldine Connors, Thomas Morgan, and Robert Morgan. Margaret was the proprietor of Peggy O’Neil’s Pub & Grille, the former 1310 Lounge, in Dorchester. She was a past President of The Determined People of Dorchester, and, along with the former Mayor of Boston, Kevin White, was responsible for successfully obtaining funds to establish the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center. In her later years she enjoyed the view of Sunsets over Quincy Bay from the window of her Hough’s ‘ Neck Home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 3-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
