The beloved wife of 44 years to George  T. Rand, Jr of Hull. Cherished mother of Julie Foster and her husband Michael, Kathryn Rand all of Hull and Christopher Rand of Hanover. Treasured daughter of William G. Mitchell of Hull and the late Irene (Dunphy) Mitchell.  Loving Mimi to Joseph Bradley, Olivia, Isla and Finley Rand. Peggy is also survived by many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and devoted friends.

Proudly born and raised in Hull Village, Peggy loved her small beach community. While raising her three children, she held many roles within the community including being a member of Hull Parent Teacher Organization, Hull Boosters Club and St. Ann’s Parish, volunteering at school book fairs and running the snack shack for the Hull Little League, just to name a few. For over 25 years Peggy provided an in-Home daycare for countless numbers of Hull families. She loved each of those children as her own and was proud to attend their graduations, weddings and meet their children in recent years. Peggy also owned “Cakes By Peggy,” worked at Schooners Restaurant in Hull and South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. In her last few years, she enjoyed working at The Inn at Scituate Harbor.

Peggy enjoyed gardening, entertaining, sewing, baking, traveling, watching beautiful Hull sunsets, being on the beach with her friends and rooting on her beloved Boston teams. Most of all, Peggy enjoy spending time with her pride and joy, her grandchildren. Her warm, kind, gentle spirit will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
