Margaret M. Stratton

Stratton, Margaret M. (Savoie) of Braintree, died May 8, 2016 at home surrounded by her family at the age of 99.  

Margaret devoted her life to caring for those around her.  She worked her entire life in various careers but always loved what she did.  Margaret was a woman of many talents and enjoyed oil painting, gardening, cooking and sewing.  She was a long time member of the Women’s Auxiliary for the Weymouth Eagles. Her main passion in life was her family and spending time with those she loved.  Margaret will be sadly missed but never forgotten.  

Beloved mother of Leonard King and his wife Judith of Rockland, Margaret Melanson of Rockland, Kathleen King of Braintree, Anne McAuliffe and her husband Michael of Hingham and the late James and Stephen King. Caring mother in law of Janice Grosso King of Rockland.  Devoted Gram of 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Cherished sister of William Savoie of Baltimore, Ann Casanova of HIngham and the late Mary Welch, Edward, Joseph, Leonard, James, Robert, Leo, Richard and Phillip Savoie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 AM in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
