Margaret M. “Peggy” Rector

Rector, Margaret M. “Peggy” (Welch) of Quincy, formerly of South Boston and Dorchester died June 23, 2015. 

Peggy worked as a waitress for over 50 years in several different restaurants including the Harvard Club.  After Peggy retired she became a lunch mother at Lincoln Hancock School.  She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. Peggy’s main passion was spending time with her family and those she loved.  She will be sadly missed.

Pre-deceased by her husband of 52 years Jack R. Rector.  Beloved mother of Robert Rector and his wife Marie of Braintree, Gregory Rector of Quincy and Master Sgt. Sharon Rector, USAF retired of Virginia.  Devoted grandmother of Nicole Rector of Germany and Courtney Rector of Virginia.  Loving sister of Catherine Connolly and her husband Michael of Randolph and the late Bridget Brown, Barbara Regan, Mary, Joseph, Alexander and James Welch.  Sister-in-law of Beverly Welch of Quincy.  Caring friend to the entire Perfetti Family. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
