Margaret M. “Peggy” Brigham

Margaret M. (“Peggy”) Brigham, longtime resident of Plymouth, and former resident of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024. Born on February 2, 1932, daughter of the late Margaret and Anthony Caperci, she grew up in Quincy’s Merrymount neighborhood alongside her brother, William Caperci, who predeceased her. She was a proud graduate of Quincy High School and furthered her education at Newbury College, where she earned her associate degree. She enjoyed her role and coworkers for many years in the medical records department of Quincy City Hospital and later retired from the City of Quincy.  Peggy found great pleasure in playing on her iPad, lengthy phone calls with many dear friends and spending time with her family, whether it was during quiet moments at home or on family vacations on Cape Cod. She was an avid reader and held special affection for the ocean.

Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Robert N. Brigham. Loving mother of Diana Hamblin of Plymouth, Sharon Brigham of Milton, and the late Thomas Brigham, survived by his wife Cristina Brigham of Plymouth. Cherished Grandmother (lovingly known as “Gram”) of Erica Simons and her husband Jeff, Meghan Brigham, Matthew Brigham, and Joshua Hamblin and great-grandchildren, Lilah and Hazel. Also survived by many extended family members and close friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
