Margaret M. “Margo” Mclaughlan

Margaret M “Margo” McLaughlan (Anderson) of South Weymouth passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024. She was 62 years old. 

Born in Dorchester she was the daughter of the late James and Elaine Anderson (O’Brien). Margo grew up in Dorchester with her four siblings and attended Mount Saint Joseph High School. She was an avid reader and loved art. She loved working with charcoals and other mediums. Margo was a graduate of Aquinas College and Labouré College of Healthcare. Margo found her passion as a Registered Nurse where she cared for many in her years at South Shore Endoscopy in Braintree and most recently at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Margo was a kind and loving soul dedicated to her profession and her family. She loved to travel; a passion she shared with her husband. She enjoyed reading and crocheting in her free time. Margo was never one to put herself first, but found joy in caring for others. She was a stoic, loving, strong woman with whom we are blessed to have known. 

Beloved wife of (Francis) Allan McLaughlan of South Weymouth. Loving step-mother of Heather McLaughlan of Weymouth, Kevin McLaughlan and his partner Amanda Shea of Kingston. Cherished grandmother of Benjamin McLaughlan of Weymouth. Dear sister of Ellen Roche and her husband Paul of Marshfield, Janet Anderson of Taunton and the late Mary Denise Anderson and James Anderson. Loving daughter-in-law of Winifred McLaughlan of Weymouth. Margo will also be lovingly remembered by many including nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, 1/15 from 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home at 809 Main Street, South Weymouth (rte.18 opposite S. Shore Hospital. Funeral Mass on Tuesday 1/16 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth Landing.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margo may be made to the charity of your choice.
