Hogan, Margaret M. (McCormack) “Peggy” of Mashpee, formerly of Wollaston, died peacefully at home on August 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Peggy adored her family and was a devout Catholic. She worked for many years for the federal government. She was intelligent, stylish, and had a great sense of humor. She always enjoyed a good laugh as she shared updates with family and friends. Peggy especially loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved ballroom dancing and traveling with her husband, and they enjoyed many cruises including Alaska, Europe and a trip to Ireland to visit family.
Beloved wife of 56 years to the late John P. Hogan. Loving mother of Maureen Mahoney and her husband Richard of Weymouth, Jack Hogan and his wife Susan of Plymouth, Carol McKew and her husband Matthew of Mashpee, Diane McAllister and her husband Joseph of Hingham, James Hogan of Brighton, Patricia Piatelli of Wrentham, Michael Hogan and his wife Joanne of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and the late Baby Brian Hogan. Cherished sister of Theresa Flynn of Pembroke and the late Joseph McCormack, Mary Kahler, Steve McCormack, Francis McCormack, Paul McCormack, and Ann DeFeo. Devoted Nana to Brian and his wife Olivia, Lauren, Kristen, Michael, Ryan, Melissa and her husband Evan, Michael, Michaela and her husband Webster, Conor, Mark, Amy, Julie, Brendan, Julianne, John, Brian, Quinn, Myles, and Great Nana to Keira and Rori. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to CatholicTV, PO Box 9196, 34 Chestnut St., Watertown, MA 02471 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
