Margaret M. French

Margaret M. French (Hewitt) of Quincy died May 7, 2013.

Beloved wife of the late Harold M. French.  Loving mother of Joan Loring and her husband Stan of Stoughton, Margaret M. Walsh and her husband Robert of South Weymouth, Harold French and his wife Ann of Cotuit and Linda Awed and her husband Scott of Quincy.  Sister of Rose Rogers of California and the late Edward and Lawrence Hewit.  Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren  and 15 great-grandchildren and the late Michelle Abban.

Margaret was raised and educated in Everett before settling in Quincy.  She loved to talk and tell stories with her family.  She enjoyed cooking, playing the piano and keyboard and was very creative when it came to sewing and knitting. Over the years Margaret became very involved in Al Anon, helping out and speaking at meetings when ever she could.  Most of all Margaret loved spending time with her family.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to Cardinal Cushing Center, 405 Washington Street,  Hanover, MA  02339.
