Margaret L. Waples

Waples, Margaret L. (Faulhaber) of Hingham, formerly of Florida and Texas, died on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Beloved wife of the late James F. Waples. Loving mother of James F. Waples of Hingham and the late William F. & John M. Waples. Sister of Frances McNulty of NC, the late Madeline Schloman, and the late William Faulhaber. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was an exceptionally strong, dutiful, faithful, generous and loving Christian daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, who set a shining example for her children. She was known with great respect and affection as “Big Sis” by her younger brother and sisters. During World War II she was an inspiration to all who knew her in holding her family together while her husband was held prisoner by the Japanese in the Philippines. After the war she enjoyed travel throughout America, Europe and Asia with her husband and sons. Her spirit lives on in her family. Burial services took place at Edgewater Cemetery in Florida on Monday October 25, 2010. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Catholic Relief Services, 49 Franklin St., Boston, MA 02110.
