Margaret L. Mclaughlin

McLaughlin, Margaret L. “Peg” of North Quincy, died September 7, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Peg worked for 22 years for the Massachusetts Attorney General as a Consumer Protection Specialist. After her retirement in 1992, she continued to volunteer weekly for the next 22 years until her death. She served under 5 different Attorneys General. In 2012, she received the Award for Excellence for Outstanding Volunteer from Attorney General Martha Coakley. She was an elegant, classy and extremely charitable woman. Her family was most important. She loved taking her grandchildren shopping and spending quality time with them. She will be remembered for her exquisite style and grace, and will be greatly missed by all.

Beloved wife of the late Edward McLaughlin Sr. Cherished mother of Edward McLaughlin Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Marblehead, John McLaughlin and Tracy Gosson of Baltimore, Maryland, and Richard McLaughlin and his wife Christine of North Andover. Loving sister of Sr. Barbara Kelly of Roslindale, Joseph Kelly and his wife Lois of Dedham and the late Rita Wynne, John Kelly, Mary Morton, and Thomas Kelly. Devoted grandmother of Ryan, Hannah, Kelly, Casey, Andrew, Timothy, and Daniel. Adoring aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 AM prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 12 PM. Private burial will follow at a later date.
