Margaret L. “Dolly” King

Margaret  “Dolly” L. (Gill) King  of Quincy, died October 21, 2018.   The beloved wife of the late Donald B. King. Mother of  Stephen J. King and his wife Geri, Maureen A. King all of Quincy, Kathy Barry and her husband Steven of Braintree, Arlene M. King-Lovelace and her husband Robert of  Maine and the late Michael A. “Sky” King, QPD and his wife Judith “Dee” of Quincy. Sister of Jeanne May of Alaska and the late Catherine McGue, Mary Zimmerman, Penelope Cahill, Peter, Coleman, Joseph and Thomas Gill.  Dollly is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

A lifelong Quincy resident, Dolly was a proud graduate of North Quincy High School Class of 1946. A devout catholic, she was a member of Sacred Heart Church Ladies Sodality  as well as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed baking and was  devoted to her “overnight companions” her grandchildren whom she adored. Dolly will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to her her in their lives.  The family would like to give a special thank you to her caregiver Cathy Kearney.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 9:15am prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church,  North Quincy at  10am.

Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
