Margaret J. Richardson

Richardson, Margaret J. (Neff) of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, died August 13, 2014. 

Margaret’s life revolved around her family and grandchildren.  She loved to baby sit for the grand kids and attend their many activities.  She and her husband were avid travelers and cruised to Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean, and Canada.  Margaret was a telephone operator for 27 years at Quincy Medical Center, retiring in 2011.  Her favorite activities included shopping, trips to Foxwood’s, and bowling in several leagues in Quincy.  She was also a member of the Quincy Retiree’s Association.  Margaret will be remembered for her outgoing nature, her smile, her laughter and also for her outspoken and feisty side.  She will be deeply missed. 

Beloved wife of Ralph E. Richardson of Quincy.  Loving mother of Ralph W. Richardson and his wife Stephanie of Quincy, Rachael Ferris and her husband Steven of Weymouth, and Renee Ceglie and her husband Michael of Braintree.  Cherished daughter of the late Edward W. Neff and Elizabeth F. (Slattery).  Loving sister of Lillian “Penny” O’Keefe and her husband Fran, Edward Neff and his wife Paula, James Neff and his late wife Karen, Eileen Ardita and her husband Frank, Thomas Neff and his wife Pat, John Neff and his wife Allison, Rosemary McCarthy and her husband Bernard, and the late Christine Neff.  “Nonnie” to Thomas & Michael Richardson and John, and twins Lyla & Samuel Ceglie.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
