Margaret J. Mccormack

McCormack, Margaret J. “Jean” (Urquhart) of Quincy, formerly Mattapan, passed away at Alliance Healthcare November 20, 2015 surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness. 

Jean was a graduate of Hyde Park High School and resided in Squantum for over 50 years. Jean was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her family and her home were the most important things in her life. She was a faithful and loyal woman who cared for all of those around her. She will be greatly missed.

Beloved wife of 59 years to Paul F. McCormack of Quincy. Cherished mother of Joanne Flanagan and her husband William of Weymouth, Michael McCormack and his wife Diane of Salisbury, Stephen McCormack and his wife Julie of Quincy, Robert McCormack and his wife Susan of Weymouth, Paula MacLeod and her husband John of Weymouth, and Paul McCormack and his wife Kerry of East Bridgewater. Devoted Nana of 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Loving aunt of Nancy Hyman of Florida. Predeceased by her parents, sister, and niece. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10 Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church,, Weymouth at 11:30 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jean may be made to Alzheimers Assn., which was dear to her heart, MA Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
