Margaret E. “Margie” (Hurl) O’Leary

Margaret E. “Margie” (Hurl) O’Leary, of Abington, passed away on  November 2, 2023.  She was 94.

Born in South Boston, daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Hurl, Margaret lived in Abington for over 20 years. Margie worked for many years into her 80”s at Boston Medical Center. She just adored her family and will always cherish the wonderful times spent with them. Her grandchildren were everything to her and was affectionately known as Nina. 

She loved music, a very kind and generous person and she loved to laugh. Margie will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Loving mother of Jane Fuery and her husband, Thomas, of Rockland and Jack O’Leary of Brockton.  

Sister of Dorothy Cucinatta of Quincy, and the late Phyllis Higgins, Mary King, Mildred Cronin, Frances Hurl and Charles Hurl.

Grandmother of Danielle Manchini and her husband, Kevin, and Charles Fuery all of Rockland. Cherished Great Grandmother of Claire Manchini.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Bridget’s Church, Abington at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
