Margaret Duclos

Duclos, Margaret (Devlin) of Cotuit, died November 11, 2014.

Beloved wife of the late George P. Duclos. Loving mother of  Stephen Duclos and his wife Christine of Hull, Margaret  Duclos-Santos of Maui, Hawaii,  George  Duclos and his wife Karen Howes-Duclos of Hanson, Annette Duclos of Cambridge and Denise Rooney and her husband Tom of Hull.  Sister of  Nora (Connie) Mahan of Florida, Claire Coffey of Plymouth, Dorothy Greenleaf of North Carolina and the late Charlie Devlin, George Devlin, Mary Murphy and Grace Mullen.  Cherished grandmother of Todd Duclos, Nora Duclos, Jessica Price, Thomas, Erin and Brian Rooney, Leah and Jaclyn Santos, Nicole, Alex and Ryan Duclos and Tessa Duclos-Mazzone.  Great-grandmother of Cierra and Aidan Duclos and Max Price.  Margaret was also the mother in law of the late Andrew Mazzone.

Margaret grew up in Jamaica Plain.  She later settled in Roslindale where she and her husband raised their family and  enjoyed summers in Hull.  She worked  as a Medical Secretary for 20 years before retiring in 1986.  Margaret was a founding member of Christ the King Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and brought Communion to the home bound or sick parishioners.  She enjoyed knitting, reading, traveling and volunteering for meals on wheels, the Cahoon Museum and the Cotuit Library.  Most of all Margaret loved her family who were the cornerstone of her life.  She will be missed by all who  had the pleasure to have known and loved her.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 1-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at a later date
