Margaret D. Goudy

Goudy, Margaret D. (Shelley) “Peg”, 75, of Weymouth, passed away March 28, 2013.  

Peg was a lifelong resident of Weymouth, where she held the office of both city council and selectwoman. She was also a legislative aide to Robert Cerasoli and Robert Healund for many years. Peg was an active church member of Immaculate Conception, as well as a campfire leader. Above all else, she enjoyed time spent with her family. 

Born in Weymouth, daughter of the late Wilfred and Margaret (McMenemy) Shelley. Devoted wife of Maxon L. Goudy.  Along with her husband, Peg is survived by her loving children, Margaret D. Pickett of Easton, Catherine L. Shelley of Martha’s Vineyard, and Maxon J. Goudy of Weymouth; and adored grandson, Nicholas F. Pickett. She was predeceased by her brothers, Wilfred and Arthur Shelley. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to South Shore Humane Society, P.O. Box 850187, Braintree, MA 02184.
