Margaret Berberan

Berberan, Margaret “Peg” (McDermott) of Quincy, died January 6, 2018 surrounded by family. She was 86 years old.

Peg was born and raised in Milton. She graduated from Milton High School, Class of 1948. She was employed as an office clerk at Procter & Gamble in Quincy, where she met her future husband, Bill.  After they married Peg left work to raise her family.  Years later she returned to the Personnel Department at Procter & Gamble, where both she and her husband worked until retirement.  She enjoyed winters in FL, traveling, and especially spending time with her family and friends. Peg will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom and wit.

Beloved wife of the late William R. Berberan.  Loving mother of Peter R. Berberan and his wife Norma of CA, William F. Berberan and his wife Julie of Quincy, Jo-Anne Berberan of Quincy, and the late Nancy A. Callahan.  Sister of Patricia M. Lee of Randolph, and the late John E. McDermott.  Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 9 AM.  Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
