Welch, Margaret A. (Flaherty) of Hull, formerly of Scituate, died June 5, 2014. 

Beloved wife of the late James J. Welch, BPD, Ret.  Loving mother of Margaret  Boughter and her husband Tom of Waterford, ME, Gerard E. Welch and his wife Joanne of Lewiston, ME, Maureen Rivieccio and her husband Walter of Hull, Kathleen Matson and her husband Terry of Gilbert, AZ, Rosemary Goldrick of Hingham, Patricia Welch of Weymouth, James J. Welch and his wife Karen of Buzzards Bay and Christine McGowan and her husband Brian of Scituate.  Sister of James Flaherty and his wife Theresa of Medford.  Cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Margaret is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Margaret Welch grew up and was educated in Dorchester.  She lived in Scituate before settling in Hull where she lived since 1969.  Margaret worked for AT & T for over 25 years before retiring in 1988.  After retirement Margaret went to work for Rockland Trust where she worked for another 10 years.  She loved going on trips to Foxwoods with the girls and traveling to Arizona to visit her daughter.  Margaret enjoyed family gatherings and  holidays where she made her famous Irish bread.  Her family was the cornerstone of her life.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:15am Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 12 PM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.

Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to a charity of your choice.
