Margaret A. Hacunda

Margaret  A. (Hanley) Hacunda,  of Weymouth, passed away November 17, 2015.

Beloved wife of 66 years of John S. Hacunda of Weymouth. Loving mother of  John Hacunda, Jr. and his wife Ellen  of Charlestown, RI, Peter Hacunda and his wife Teresa of Providence, Robert Hacunda and his wife Rosemarie of Lakeville, James Hacunda and his wife Fran of Hopkinton, and the late Christine Hacunda. Margaret is also survived by 7 grandchildren – Christopher, Caroline, Michelle, Matthew, Melissa, Joshua and Jonathan Hacunda.  She is predeceased by her siblings, Thomas Hanley, Mary Hanley, Catherine Limoli and Rita Hanley.  

During her 91 years, Margaret enjoyed family vacations in Maine and Cape Cod, listening to music, and exploring her natural surroundings.  She had a lovely voice and sang with the USO during  WWII.  Margaret laughed easily, appreciated kindness and was a delight to everyone she met.  She will be missed by many.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30AM. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
