Marcelle A. Janis

Janis, Marcelle A. (LaChance) of Quincy, died April 12, 2016. 

Marcelle’s family was the center of her life and she took great pride in caring for them and her home.  She was a devoted wife to her husband Peter for 67 years, caring for him at home until he passed last year.  She loved her time as a volunteer at Quincy Medical Center as well as her jobs in retail sales with Storktime and Dan Howard’s.  She will be remembered for her elegant and fashionable style, gracious personality, and the meticulous care she took of herself and her home.

Beloved wife of the late Peter J. Janis.  Loving mother of Patricia Kelley and her husband John of Plymouth, Christine Janis and her husband Douglas MacFarlane of FL, Denise Johnson and her husband Eric of Duxbury, and Peter R. Janis and his wife Karen of Quincy.  Sister of the late Gerald LaChance.  Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
