Maggie Sullivan

Sullivan, Maggie L. (Cannon), 82, of Weymouth formerly of Dorchester and Scituate passed away on Friday June 4, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Thomas M. Sullivan. Loving mother of Moira Sullivan and her husband Richard Graham of Hingham, Tom Sullivan and his wife Paula of Clearwater, FL., Peter C. Sullivan of Dorchester, Joyce Sullivan and her husband Tom Johnson of Hingham and Timothy C. Sullivan of Quincy. Respected sister of Rebecca Clark of Lewisburg, TN and Bettie Hill of Huntingdon, TN. Caring grandmother to 4 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. Born in Sparta, TN, Maggie was both scholar and athlete. She was awarded a basketball scholarship to Middle Tennessee State University. While residing at the Parker House in Boston, Maggie met her future husband, Tom, who shared the same passions. As her children grew, she went to work for New England Telephone, eventually becoming involved with contract negotiations again. Maggie loved politics, summers at the beach, gardening and was the consummate family entertainer with real Southern hospitality. She was admired and loved by all who came in contact with her. She will be greatly missed. A Funeral Visitation will be held on Monday June 7th from 9 AM to 11 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (Off Central St.) Hingham. A Celebration of Maggies’ life will be held at a later date. Interment will be private.
