Mae B. Gorman

Gorman, Mae B. (Hendry) of Quincy, died on May 21, 2010. She was 75. Devoted mother of Christopher Gorman and his wife Laura of Conway, NH. Loving sister of Joe Hendry of Marshfield. Cherished grandmother of Michael Littlefield and his wife Stephanie and Gigi to Hailie and Michael. Mae was born in Brockton and was a lifelong resident of Quincy, graduating from North Quincy High School in 1952. She spent the last six months living with her family in Conway, NH. She remained active in the Class of ’52 Reunion Committee all her life. Mrs. Gorman was a top level executive secretary, especially in the fields of law, politics and transportation engineering. Early in her career she was the personal secretary to former Mayor Walter Hannon. She ended her career in the employ of the engineering firm, Vanasse and Associates of Andover, MA, retiring in 1997. Mae took great pleasure in her loving family, gardening, golf, playing poker, doing crossword puzzles and being around her dog Cleo. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 2 – 6 PM and Monday 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mae may be made to Quincy Animal Shelter, 56 Broad St., Quincy, MA 02169.
