Madelyn A. Geary

Geary, Madelyn A. “Lyn” of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died April 13, 2015. 

Lyn was full of unconditional love and was the center of her family’s heart.  She was never shy to sing a song and have it choreographed with her own dance routine.  Her passion was bowling and she took part in the Saint Ann’s Bowling League on Saturday afternoons.  She was a client at Quincy Recreation as well as the special needs program at Quincy Vocational Technical High School, where she earned her high school degree.  She attended workshops at South Shore ARC, which trained her to work in retail at Filene’s, Bradlee’s and most recently Roche Brothers Supermarket.  She has lived in Weymouth for the past 10 years at the Ralph Talbot House.  Her family came first in everything and she will be remembered for her loving spirit, dry sense of humor, and her quiet demeanor. 

Beloved daughter of the late Jeremiah J. Geary and Rose V. (McSheffrey).  Loving sister of Jeremiah J. Geary, III of OR, David M. Geary and his wife Claire of FL, Paul J. Geary and his wife JoAnn of Quincy and Rosemarie C. Hasenfuss and her husband Peter of Wareham. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM.  Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
