M. Joan Canney

Canney, M. Joan (Gately) of Hingham October 17, 2003. Beloved wife of Dr. Paul C. Canney. Loving mother of Paula & her husband James Flanagan of Hingham. Loving “Nana” of Margaret Mary Flanagan. Sister of David P. Gately, Thomas F. Gately, Jr., both of Hingham, Donna Andrews of Carver, William V. Carolan of FL and the late Judith A. Gately. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.Joan worked as a secretary for Mass Indemnity Life Insurance Company in the late 1950’s and for Massa in Hingham in the early 1960’s.
