M. Florence Mcneil

McNeil, M. Florence of Quincy, formerly of Jamaica Plain passed away May 29, 2012. Loving daughter of the late John and Annie McNeil. Devoted sister of Michael McNeil of Jamaica Plain, Marjorie Scott of Everett and the late Edward, Charles, Jack and Ron McNeil. Florence is also survived by sisters in laws Evelyn and Phyllis McNeil, 18 nieces, nephews, 30 great nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends. Florence was born in Boston, grew up in Roxbury before settling in Quincy. She was a person of extremely strong faith, confident and very independent. She worked as a book keeper and manager for Commercial Union Insurance Company for 30 years before retiring. She was proud of her accomplishment in her field. Florence was very devoted to her family and was a life time loyal Red Sox fan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 2-4PM and 6-8PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at Saturday at 8:45am prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 9:30 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
