Lucy W. Thorpe

Thorpe, Lucy passed away on January 13, 2015. 

Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Lucy graduated from Framingham State Teachers College and became a Home Economics teacher in both Boston and New Jersey.

She married her deceased husband, Walter Thorpe in 1953 and they divided their married life between Massachusetts and New Jersey.  They had two children, Richard Thorpe, now deceased and Barbara Thorpe a Boston resident.  Lucy is survived by her grandson Gabriel Thorpe and his mother Rochelle Thorpe, Lucy’s daughter-in-law.  Lucy is also survived by her brother Francis a resident of Brooksby Village in Peabody, Massachusetts and many nieces, nephews and cousins.   

Services are private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucy’s memory may be made to Girl Friends Scholarship Fund Inc., and mailed to GF Faye D. Owens, Financial Secretary, 553 Northwestern Parkway, Louisville, KY.
