Lucy M. Striano

Striano, Lucy Marie (Perrone), passed away peacefully on December 23, 2014 at the age of 100.

She was a resident of East Weymouth and Norwell and a faithful communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and Saint Albert the Great. Lucy worked at Sigma Instruments and later as an aide at the James Humphrey School. She was also a longtime member of the Weymouth Daughters of Italy Lodge. She loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and she was an avid reader. She was always the happiest when she was surrounded by her books and her family. 

Wife of the late John L. Striano, loving mother of the late Robert Striano and sister of the late Concetta Nista, Mary Santacroce, and her brothers the late John, Joseph and Alphonse Perrone. 

Lucy is survived by her son, John A. Striano and his wife Mary V. Striano. Loving grandmother of Linda Hayes and her husband Gregory, Kathy Striano-Preece and her husband Christopher and great-grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley and Jack Hayes and Alexandra Preece. Also survived by her niece Margaret Santacroce, sister Rose Salemme and sister-in-law Antoinette Solimini, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth, Friday at 10 AM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Lucy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
