Lucien F. Theberge passed on to heaven on Friday November 23, 2018 after injuries he sustained in a car accident, he was 18.
Born in Weymouth on September 1, 2000, Luc grew up in Quincy. He attended Quincy High School where he was a senior and a member of the National Honor Society. He was a devoted student and well respected by the faculty, administration, and students of the Bernazzani and Central Middle schools as well. He was a committed member of the HYPER robotics team, as well as the Tennis Team at Quincy High School. Luc was a dedicated and accomplished member of Boy Scout Troop 42. Among the many awards he received, he earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, National Outdoor Achievement Medal, and the Venturing Ranger award. Lucien enjoyed nature and backpacking in the White Mountains. With his father and fellow Scouts beside him, he was able to climb all 48 of the 4,000+ foot tall mountains in the White Mountains National Forest.
Luc had a strong work ethic. He delivered the Quincy Sun for the past seven years. He also worked at Curry Hardware and B&D Realty for almost three years, and had recently started an internship at Dive Technologies in Quincy, that he was very excited about.
He leaves behind his father, Ray Theberge, his brother, Jonathan Theberge and sister, Cecilia Theberge of Quincy, MA. Luc was predeceased by his mother, Michelle (Perry) Theberge in 2013, and his maternal grandmother Lucille (Tourigny) Perry in 2015. He will also be sadly missed by his paternal grandmother Fernande (Lagasse) Doiron and her husband George Doiron of Jay, Maine, and his maternal grandfather John Perry of Quincy. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Gisele (Theberge) Guerrette and Maurice Guerrette of Auburn, Maine, Pauline (Theberge) Taylor and Todd Taylor of Lewiston, Maine, Irene (Perry) Kneeland and George Kneeland of Bridgewater, MA, Maureen (Perry) Simpson and Fred Simpson of Concord, NH. and his uncle Michael Perry of Quincy. Luc was the dedicated uncle to his nephew, Ryan J. Theberge.
Everyone touched by Lucien’s’ life is invited to attend the visiting hours at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA on Friday November 30th from 4-8 PM. Family and friends will gather in the funeral home beginning at 9 AM on Saturday prior to Luc’s Funeral Mass, which will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10 AM, with interment at Pine Hills Cemetery immediately following.
