Dennis “Denny” Doyer, Lt. Colonel, USAF Ret. of Belleville, IL, on November 11, 2006 unexpectedly in California. He is survived by his loving sons, Captain Scott K. Doyer, USAF and Stacie Haven of Sacramento, CA and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Michael B. Doyer, US Army of Savannah, GA, his mother, Helen S. Doyer of Hampton, NH, his sister and her husband, Sue and Tom Sullivan of Quincy, MA, and his former wife Paula J. Doyer of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, grand-nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends in the Belleville/St. Louis area and here in New England. Denny was a 1963 graduate of Saugus High School and a 1967 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Denny was a career Air Force pilot (C5A) and Command Officer whose service included action in the Vietnam War theater and logistics command roles during Operation Desert Storm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Monday at 11:30 a.m. Burial in the National Cemetery, Bourne, MA following the funeral. Visiting hours Sunday, 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denny’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Denny was a long time volunteer in the ACS Relay for Life campaign. Late employee of Computer Sciences Corporation.
