Loyd R. Johnson

Johnson, Loyd R. of Braintree, formerly of New Bedford, passed away at home on September 7, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Son of the late Hazel Johnson. Beloved husband of Ruth (Smith) Johnson. Loving father of Loyd R. Johnson, Jr. and Jason Gomes, both of Braintree. Step father of Rodney, Kimberly, and Darlene Rock, all of New Bedford. Brother of Catherine Matthews of Wareham, Joyce Rose, Diane Williams, both of New Bedford, and the late Roy Williams. Loyd worked in maintenance for Braintree Village Apartment Complex. He enjoyed a simple and selfless life, making family his primary focus. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service in the Braintree Village Community Hall, 2 McCusker Dr., Braintree on Saturday at 3 PM.
