Louis R. Ficociello

Ficociello, Louis R. “Papa” of Weymouth, died October 23, 2013 at the age of 84.

Lou grew up in Dorchester and has lived in Weymouth for over 50 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1946 – 1951. Lou worked as a Credit Manager for the Patriot Ledger for over 30 years, retiring in 1992. He went on to work part time at various locations after retirement. He was an Usher and active parishioner of St. Albert’s Church, a devoted husband and proud family man. He will be sadly missed.

Beloved husband of 59 years to Mena Ficociello of Weymouth. Devoted father of Steven Ficociello and his wife Mary of Weymouth, Louis R. Ficociello, Jr. and his partner Dan Sullivan of Boston, Susan Caprio and her husband Dave of Tewksbury, Diane Ficociello of Rockland, Paul Ficociello of Rockland, Laura Ficociello of Weymouth, Vincent Ficociello of Arizona, Joseph Ficociello of Weymouth, Marie Ficociello of Weymouth and Peter Ficociello and his wife Traci of Rockland. Cherished “Papa” of Tony, Angela, Frankie, Nicole, Marie, Gina, Justin, Andrea, Adam, Matthew, Dagan, Victoria, Elsie and great-grandson Charlie. Loving brother of Ida Ficociello of Weymouth and the late Caesar, Ralph, Anna and Dorothy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 12-4 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 9 AM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
