Louis J. Marchesiani

Marchesiani, Louis J. of Hingham, died on June 04, 2010. He was 88. Beloved husband of 57 years to Anna (Surette) Marchesiani of Hingham. Devoted father of Louis J. Marchesiani, Jr. of FL, Daniel Marchesiani of Framingham and the late Robert Marchesiani. Loving brother of Mary Marchesiani of Norwell and the late Nancy, Teresa and Josephine Marchesiani, Frances Carini, Bernard and Joseph Marchesiani. Cherished grandfather of 2 grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Louis has been a resident of Hingham for almost all his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII, including the D Day Invasion of Normandy Beach. As a skilled carpenter, Mr. Marchesiani worked for the MBTA Station in Boston, built his own home in Hingham and assisted in building the home next door for his brother Joseph. His carpentry skills also led him to build 3 beautifully crafted boats in his younger days and helped him to enjoy his main passion of fishing. He will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation Monday at 8:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Louis may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the charity of your choice.
