Louis G. Boyd

Boyd, Louis G. of Quincy, September 26, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Carol (Gavell) Boyd. Loving father of Paula Vasconcelos and her husband George of Sharon, Donna Delcourt and her husband Phillip of Weymouth, John Boyd and his wife Barbie of Whitman and the late Leo Boyd. Father in law of Peggy Boyd of Whitman. Brother of Mary O’Brien of Holbrook, Donald Boyd of NY, Frank Boyd of Braintree, Dorothy Moore of Gloucester, Billy Boyd of Boston and six deceased siblings. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Louis served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954. He worked 10 years as an Auto Mechanic for the City of Quincy Highway Department. Mr. Boyd was an avid sports fan especially of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He was a quiet and humble man who was very proud of his family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 7PM at the conclusion of visiting hours. Cremation to follow.
