Lois H. Desmond

Lois H. (Wigman) Desmond, of Hull, died April 23, 2013, she was 65.

Born in Weymouth, Lois grew up in Hingham and moved to Hull back in 1979. She volunteered her time with many community programs. One such program was the up-keep of Nantasket Beach. She was always available to help out with the clean up of her beloved beach.  She also kept active with the veterans civic groups. Lois dedicated many of her years  delivering for the meals on wheels program and she spent many days driving patients to Dana Farber for cancer treatments. She was truly a caring  and unselfish woman who put the needs of others before her own. The focus of her life was her family. She will be sadly missed by all of them.

The beloved mother of Scott Desmond and his wife Jo of Scituate and the late Cory Desmond. Mother-in-law of Stephanie Desmond-Fountain  of Monson. Cherished Gamma of Scott, Joey and Brady Desmond. Sister of the late Jody Wigman and his wife Mimi Wigman of Pembroke. Dear Aunt of Derek Wigman of Quincy, Jenna Wigman of CA and Brady Wigman of Pembroke. Lois also leaves many loving cousins in VA & CA.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial visitation on Saturday, April 27 from  10AM – 12 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday at 12:00 Noon in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham. In lieu of flowers,  donations in memory of Lois may be made to Wellspring, 814 Nantasket Ave., Hull, MA 02045.
