Jalbert, Lois C. (Clements) of Hingham, formerly of East Orleans, November 13, 2009. Beloved wife of Russell R. Jalbert of Hingham. Loving mother of Ned Jalbert and his partner Keith Ravaioli of Westborough, Russell D. Jalbert and his wife Rebecca Koehler of Boonton, NJ, John Bradford Jalbert of Mashpee and Pamela J. King and her husband Donald “Chip” of Hingham. Devoted grandmother of Edward “Ted” King and Elizabeth “Lissa” King both of Hingham. Lois lived in East Orleans for many years before making her home in Hingham for the past four years. Lois had a special passion for nature and animals, she was a member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society. Lois was an early advocate for women’s rights. She was a gourmet cook who loved to entertain. Lois was a kind person who possessed empathy for the poor and underprivileged. Lois volunteered her time at the Dianne DeVanna Center for the prevention of child abuse for many years. Lois was a member of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Family was the most important aspect of Lois’s life. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 2 PM – 6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
