Lois A. Macdonald

MacDonald, Lois A. (Moody) of Braintree, passed away in her home on February 7, 2024. She was 79.

Born in 1944 in Quincy, she was the daughter to the late James and Nettie (Stevenson) Moody.

Lois was known to be devoted, loving and supportive. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and anything outdoors. Lois has unconditional love, not only for her family but anyone she meets. She enjoyed apple picking, dog shows, and going to sports events. She was truly beautiful inside and out and will be missed by all who knew her. 

Wife of the late Richard MacDonald. Loving mother to Deborah Duprey and her husband Paul of Halifax, Gary MacDonald of Braintree, Glenn MacDonald and his fiancé Kelsey Sullivan of Weymouth, and Jill MacDonald of Weymouth. Sister of Nancy MacDonald, Mildred Tanner, James Moody, Robert Moody, Frank Moody, and the late George Moody. Grandmother to Abigail and Brayden MacDonald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, February 13, from 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois’ name may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Ste 1509, New York, NY 10018.
