Travers, Linda L. (Cramer) 85 of Quincy, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family at the Pat Roche Hospice House.

Born in Springfield, OH, Linda was the daughter of the late Agnes (Driscoll) and Walter Cramer. Linda was both a cheerleader and majorette at Greenon High School in Enon, where she graduated in 1957. Shortly after graduation, she married her husband Richard (known as Dick) at the chapel on the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where Dick was serving his country as an Airman First Class. Linda and Dick moved to South Boston, MA and started a family there. After a dozen years in “Southie”, they moved their brood of six to Quincy Point, where they have resided for 55 years. Linda found great joy and laughter spending time with her large family and many friends. During her lifetime, she enjoyed bowling, watching her children play sports, playing the accordion and the piano. Later in life she spent years researching her family’s genealogy and playing computer games.

Linda is survived by her husband of 67 years Dick Travers. She will always be lovingly remembered and missed by her children Richard J. Travers and his wife Noriko of Atkinson, NH, James Travers and his wife Donna of Hanson, MA, Mary Lynn Travers of Quincy, MA, and Patricia Sutterley and her husband Ken of Brandenburg, KY. Linda was the mother of the late Teresa and Thomas Travers. She is also survived by her daughter in law Victoria Travers of Hudson, NH, her sister Carole (Cramer) Abney of Springfield, OH and her brother James Cramer of Canton, GA. She was the sister of the late AJ Laughlin of Springfield, OH. Linda was predeceased by three of her grandchildren, Robert, Andrea, and Laura. She is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Linda also had a trio of best friends whom she cherished, her sister in law Joan Barnes, Barbara Scolaro, and Bobby Allison.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral home service will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM. Private burial to follow for family members and close friends at Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Linda may be made the Pat Roche Hospice House, 86 Turkey Hill Ln., Hingham, MA 02043.
