Mrs. Linda M. (Leone) Scopa of Braintree, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on June 21, 2019. She was 54.
Born in Weymouth, a daughter of the late Robert and Jean (Coleran) Leone, Linda was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1983. She has worked as an office manager for many years for BIDMC. Linda was a volunteer for Joanna’s Place in Weymouth, enjoyed travelling, the beach, and always enjoyed hosting holidays. Linda will always be remembered for her zest for life, and her courageous battle during her illness. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Loving mother of Stephanie M. Dobrev and her husband, Michael, of Abington, Rachel L. Scopa of Braintree, and Domenic J. Scopa, Jr. and his wife, Samantha, of Weymouth. Sister of Maryellen Chapman of Hattlesburg, MS, and Robert Leone and his wife, Carol, of Whitman. Cherished Nana to Michael and Hunter and was also anxiously waiting on the arrival of two more of her grandchildren in July and September. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and her dogs, Stella and Nacho.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial will follow inBlue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
Bright flowers which Linda loved would be appreciated at her visiting hours as well as bright attire if you wish.
