Linda J. Varroso

Varroso, Linda J. (Farina) of Weymouth, passed January 6, 2022 after enduring a courageous, tenacious battle with appendiceal cancer.

Linda was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School and earned her bachelor’s degree at Lesley University. Linda worked for many years as the director of regulatory and quality affairs in the medical device field and for the U.S. Postal Service in her earlier years. Most important to Linda, was spending time with her family and their family pets, Lucy, Ricky and Foxy. Second to spending time with her family, Linda enjoyed the family summer home in Hull and spending countless days and nights collecting sea glass and strolling Nantasket Beach. Linda was an avid traveler and enjoyed seeing the world and always had a knack for finding a nearby casino to where she was visiting. 

Beloved wife of Robert J. Varroso of Weymouth. Cherished daughter of Richard and Georgina Farina of Cambridge. Loving mother of James V. Farina and his wife Siobhan of Cambridge, and Rachel J. Hussey of Weymouth. Dear sister of Richard Farina wife Judith of Bedford, Peter Farina and wife Christine of North Andover and Joseph Farina of Cambridge. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and extended family

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the funeral mass in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
