Linda C. Kanies

Kanies, Linda C. of Weymouth, formerly of Hingham, January 6, 2007. Beloved daughter of Shirley (King) Kanies of Hull and the late Robert Kanies. Loving sister of Thomas Kanies & his wife Anne & their son Thomas of Rockland and David Kanies & his wife Sherry of Winchester, CA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., (off Central Street), HINGHAM, Wednesday at 2 PM. Linda worked as a school administrator for different schools and was a graduate of Boston University. She devoted much of herself to caring for people with special needs. She also nurtured animals including her golden retriever. She loved life and the people around her and was always thinking of others. Linda was a fighter and managed her long battle with diabetes with grace. Always young at heart, her body at times was getting older, but she always had a smile through the fight. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
