Lillian Doris (Scarpelli) Roy

Lillian D. Roy of Weymouth, MA died peacefully at the South Shore Hospital on Saturday, September 21, 2024, the day after her 95 th birthday. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger L. Roy, a life-long resident of Weymouth, MA, born there on September 20, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Dorick and Frances (Falina) Scarpelli, sister to her late siblings William Scarpelli, Concetta Santacroce and Flora Fucci. She graduated Weymouth High School class of 1947.

Lillian enjoyed bowling, gardening, cooking, sewing and coloring. She was a member of the Weymouth Senior Citizen’s Recreation Club and the Whipple Senior Center. She was a member of the Naughty Knitters and enjoyed crocheting and knitting afghans, hats and booties for local hospitals and veteran’s hospitals. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son David and his wife Deborah, her son Paul and his wife Misty, her daughter Doris and her husband Peter, grandchildren Rhianna and her husband TJ, Miranda and her husband Matt, Sierra and her husband George, Kristofer and his wife Catherine and 2 great-grandchildren Finn and Eleanor. She was also the aunt to many beloved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet family during visiting hours on Friday September 27 from 4-8pm at the Keohane Funeral Home, North Weymouth, 40 Sea Street. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Saint Albert the Great Parish, 1140 Washington Street, Weymouth. Burial will immediately follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
