Lillian P. (Ciardiello) Spirito

Lillian P. (Ciardiello) Spirito, age 89, of Hingham, passed away surrounded by her children on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Lillian was born in Everett, Massachusetts to Mary and Jerry Ciardiello. She traveled around the world before settling in Hingham with her late husband, Angelo Spirito. Lillian resided in Hingham for almost sixty years. She was a homemaker, an avid reader, and a news junkie who enjoyed bridge and mahjong (with the Mahjong Mavens). She was involved and volunteered in many organizations such as Proparvulis, Sunset Point Camp, Children’s Tumor Foundation, NF Northeast, New Beginnings, The Garden Club of Hingham and Hingham Ladies Club.  Lillian is survived by her daughter Yvette Kanter and her husband Jon Kanter, her sons, Justin Spirito and his partner Jen Campbell and Jared Spirito and his wife Amy Spirito. She is also survived by her grandchildren whom she simply adored Dominic Kanter, John Kanter, Lillian Spirito, Caden Spirito and Dani Bishop.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, September 10, 2023, 2-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday, September 11, 2023, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM.

Services will conclude with interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
