Lillian O’Neil

O’Neil, Lillian L. “Lil” of Quincy, died April 10, 2016.  

Lil adored her husband Joe, he was the love of her life. They enjoyed going out to eat and traveling together and would attend reunions all over the country for the Navy ship he was stationed on, as well as visiting her sister in Louisiana. They attended mass every Saturday and her faith was very important to her. She also enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and spending time with them, especially taking them to Castle Island. Lil was an amazing cook and had a great sense of humor. She was a caring and generous woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Herbert J. “Joe” O’Neil. Devoted mother of Laurie McGuire of Quincy, Joseph F. O’Neil and his wife Liz of Quincy, and Kevin O’Neil of Blackstone. Loving sister of Edith Marquette of New Orleans and the late Dorothy Oliver, and Larry, Peggy, Johnny, Richie, and Bobby Kelley. Cherished Nana of Matthew and Jessica McGuire, and Matthew, Nicole, and Dylan O’Neil. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
