Lillian J. Mullen (Healy), a resident of North Weymouth for more than 60 years, died June 24, 2016 at the age of 91.
Lillian grew up in Malden and was a graduate of Cheverus High School. She was a longtime employee of Talbot’s, retiring in 1991. Some of her favorite pastimes were playing Bingo, rooting for Boston sports teams, and socializing with neighbors. Most of all, Lillian’s life was centered on her family.
She was the wife of the late John C. “Jack” Mullen. Loving mother of John R. Mullen and wife Hope of Scituate, Janice M. Robinson and husband William of Braintree, and Stephen W. Mullen of Quincy. Sister of the late Mary Davis and Virginia Carter. Devoted “Grammy” to William Robinson of Hingham, and Thomas Robinson of Braintree, and “Mama Lillian” to Jamie Morey of Marshfield, Lindsay Lasserre of Raleigh, NC and Kelly Lasserre of New Orleans, LA. Also survived by 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10AM. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations in memory of Lillian may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 556 Washington St., Quincy, MA 02169.
