Lillian B. Lee-Morse

Lillian B Lee-Morse passed away peacefully on November 5, 2017 at the age of 89.

As a girl, Lillian began her life as a performing artist, by singing. She performed at functions to support and  raise money for American and Chinese causes during World War ll . She attended Beaver County Day School where she was inspired to become an actor.  Lillian received her Bachelor of Music Degree ,Cum Laude, in Vocal  Literature, Vocal Chamber Ensemble and Ear Training ,from the New England Conservatory of  Music  and  the  Master of Music  Degree in Vocal Performance from the Boston Conservatory of Music. Also an accomplished pianist, she taught voice At the Boston Conservatory of Music. She was an active recitalist. Her brother Alfred, a pianist also on the faculty of the Boston Conservatory of Music, frequently collaborated with her in recital as both accompanist and soloist. With her husband, the late Ralph Morse who was an actor, announcer for WEEI radio in Boston, and Navy WII Veteran, she moved to Denmark, Maine where they presented  musicals and plays at the Denmark Performing Arts Center.  Lillian also taught at the Mountaintop Music Center, teaching voice and staging cabarets.

Daughter of the late Sun Foo Lee and Chin Shee Lee. Dear wife of the late Ralph Morse. Loving sister to the late Paul, Charlotte, Edgar, and Alfred Lee. Cherished aunt to Stephanie Moy, she is survived by nephews  Jon Moy, Michael, Timothy , and Terry Lee and nieces Lauren Lee Lochrie, and Robin Lee Foley. Beloved friends with  Barry McMillan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 12-3pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy , where visitors are invited to share memories, songs, or mementos. Burial will be private. Please consider donations in Lillian’s name to:  The Residents Fund attn: Marion Bowen Assisted Living Residences at Hancock Park 164 Parkingway Quincy, MA. 02169.
