Picot, Leonard A. of Quincy & Humarock formerly of Dorchester suddenly by accident died on December 20, 2006. The beloved husband of 47 years to Margery (McLaughlin) Picot of Quincy. Loving father of Lenny & Karen , Stephan & Mary, David & Gerry Picot all of Quincy and Mark & Diane Picot of Cohasset. Brother of Wilfred Picot of Needham and Jordan “Tinker” Picot of Quincy. Grandfather of Laurie, Michael, Emily, Alyssa, Katelyn, Danielle, Brianna and Isabella Picot. Son in law of Margery McLaughlin of Hingham. Leonard is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mr. Picot may be made to Mass. Brain Injury Assoc., 484 Main St. Suite 350, Worcester, MA 01608.Proud retired member of Local # 7 Ironworkers and M.B.T.A. and U.S. Army veteran. Leonard grew up in Dorchester and moved to Quincy 47 years ago. He served in the United States Army. Leonard married Margery (McLaughlin) they were married for the past 47 years. Mr. Picot worked on M.B.T.A. through the Ironworkers union, local #7 for 47 years retiring back in 2001. He love to go fishing and play tennis. His family remembers him as a devoted worker, he never missed a day at work. Mr. Picot really enjoyed going fishing on his sons boat he love to be surrounded by his children. He was a great man with a good sense of humor. He will be missed by many. Leonard was a member at the McKeon Post in Dorcester and past member of the Marshfield Yacht club.
