McSeveney, Leona C. (Smith) of N. Quincy, June 10, 2007. Beloved wife of John C. McSeveney. Loving mother of John C., Jr., Stephen G., both of N. Quincy and Mark J. and his wife Lora L. of Hanson. Sister of the late Mary Ridge, John, Joseph and Thomas Smith. Cherished “Nana” of John J., Kayla L. and Megan A. McSeveney, all of Hanson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Agatha’s Church, Milton at 9 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Leona’s family and friends were the most important aspect of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially summers on the Cape. They had a summer home on the Cape in the Sand Shores Association in Marstons Mills from 1965 to 1997. She was a member of the Sheraton Tara Braintree Health Club for many years. Leona also enjoyed bowling and played in several leagues in the mid 1970’s to early 1980’s. Mrs. McSeveney was very generous and donated to several causes through the years; including St. Jude’s, the Heart Association, Diabetes and Cancer Funds. Leona was very good natured and enjoyed helping people. At the same time she had her strong opinions and stood up for them. Mrs. McSeveney loved to shop and eat out at her favorite restaurants. She enjoyed watching Professional Tennis, “The Price is Right” and “Wheel of Fortune” on television. Leona loved to play Scrabble and cards with her grandchildren. Some of her her favorite musicians included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Johnny Mathis and Tony Bennett. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. McSeveney may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38105.
