DeStefano, Leo P. of Weymouth, passed away December 30, 2022. Leo was born in Boston to the late Peter and Genevieve (Murray) DeStefano. He was a graduate of Dorchester High School. Leo was a proud United States Air Force veteran. He worked for many years as a Braintree police officer, as well as an owner of Braintree Glass. Leo enjoyed traveling, especially wintering in Florida. He also enjoyed restoring vintage cars, gun collecting, cooking, carpentry and watching Patriot’s football.
Beloved partner of over 30 years to Linda Stanton of Weymouth. Loving father of Jill Bjorkman of Weymouth and the late Dana DeStefano. Dear brother of the late Charles and Peter DeStefano. Cherished Papa of Chloe Stanton. Leo is also survived by John and Chris Stanton, many nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Leo to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
