Lea J. Desmond

Desmond, Lea J. of Weymouth, died January 24, 2014.

Lea’s most enjoyment in life was her family and was always willing to care for others. She enjoyed baking and cooking and will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Beloved wife of the late James R. Desmond. Loving mother of Barry Desmond and his wife, Marie, of Weymouth, Catherine Curry and her fiance, James Doherty, of Abington, Lisa Bailot and her husband, Bill, Karen MacLeod and her husband, Scott, Brian Desmond, and Dana Desmond and his wife, Michelle, all of Weymouth. Sister of the late John Chella, Mary Harvey, and sister of Jean Hynes of Florida. Cherished grandmother of Christopher,  Amy, Erin, Russell, Kelly, Troy, Jill, Kara, Alicia, Zachary, Hannah, James, Caitlyn, and Samantha. Great grandmother of Christian. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
